BUCK’S PARTY BEER PADDLES
It’s known as Junggesellenabschied, in Germany, meaning “farewell to bachelorhood”. For the French, it’s enterrement de vie de garçon, which literally means, “burial of the life as a boy”. Whether you choose to call it the Bachelor Party, Buck’s Night or Stag Do, the gathering of the groom’s closest male friends and relatives, to ‘send him off’ is a tradition that dates back Centuries. In the 5th Century B.C, the Ancient Spartan’s were the first to celebrate the last night as a single man.
Sadly, the ever tightening restrictions on alcohol and licensing laws in Sydney, are making it increasingly difficult for a group of guys to enjoy a night out. These days, most security guards, won’t even let you through the door of the pub, unless you happen to be accompanied by a Sydney Pub Tour Guide. We understand that, getting the boys together, has to be planned, well executed and, of course, memorable, so with this in mind, we have created the perfect experience to get the ball rolling.
The Craft Beer Industry in Australia is booming right now, and our Bachelor Party Beer Paddle Tour, showcases some of Sydney’s finest beer from local, well established, and new, Craft Breweries. For those who like to ‘kick off’ early, a lunch, or mid afternoon tour, is the best way to make the Groom’s “final night of freedom”, a night he’ll never remember.
Gaz took us around The Rocks for a bucks party and all the boys loved the beer tasting of course. But what made it really special was the colour that Gaz provided along the way with his stories about the history of The Rocks and the pubs/hotels we were visiting, which included getting access to parts of pubs you normally wouldn’t get to see. Plus it’s always nice not to have to queue for a beer and have your own private areas all organised! Justin B – March 2017
